IRC Structure
The draft structure for the Coal IRC was published on this website on 11 October 2016, providing an opportunity for industry to comment on whether the structure would adequately represent the industry. The structure was amended in consultation with the IRC chair based on feedback received from stakeholders. This amendment clarified the individual expertise positions in Underground Coal Mining and Surface Coal Mining could comprise of no more than one member from a single state/territory. This ensures adequate geographic representation; noting the majority of industry activity occurs in Queensland and New South Wales.
