Australian Industry and Skills Committee
The Australian Industry and Skills Committee is committed to ensuring that our national training system meets the needs of workers and
employers now and into the future.

COVID-19 - AISC response
The AISC is committed to ensuring that our national training system can rapidly respond to areas of critical workforce and skill needs arising as a result of the impact of COVID-19.
From April to December 2020, the AISC established an Emergency Response Sub-Committee (the sub-committee) at the request of Skills Ministers. This sub-committee met regularly to consider the impact of the pandemic on training needs, and also commissioned a number of new skill sets to better support rapid upskilling and reskilling of displaced workers.
Although the sub-committee is no longer meeting, the AISC will continue to explore opportunities to support businesses to meet urgent and unmet skills needs during the COVID-19 economic recovery period.
