IRC membership details are updated each quarter.
The Automotive Allied Industry IRC is responsible for national training package qualifications relevant to the following sectors: Bicycle sector that sells, services and repairs bicycles, parts and accessories; Marine sector that services and repairs the mechanical and electrical systems of marine vessels, and that includes both pleasure vessels up to 100 feet long and small commercial vessels; Motorcycle sector, including service and repair; Outdoor power equipment sector that provides sales, service and repair of electrical and mechanical systems of outdoor power equipment, and that includes both domestic and commercial equipment such as chainsaws, brush cutters, jack hammers, concrete polishers as well the rental equipment market; and automotive sales, parts, administration and management sector that buys and sells automotive vehicles and parts, including administration and management roles in businesses.
These qualifications are included in the AUR – Automotive Retail, Service and Repair Training Package.
The IRC will consult widely during any future training package development process, providing opportunity for interested parties to make a contribution. Technical Advisory Committees may also be established to inform future work, utilising a broad range of stakeholders with technical and specific industry knowledge.
