WHAT IS A.I.S.C. ?
- Provide a safe and
nurturing environment in which visiting international students can study and
gain an appreciation of Australia.
- Provide services to
students, parents and schools
- Maintain regular contact
with the student and inspect the student’s accommodation, and supply photos
for parents, schools and give an independent opinion.
- Assist the student open
bank accounts and organize their finances if required by the student’s
parents, to control the student’s finances. (I.e. weekly/fortnightly pocket
money and in agreement with the parents, arrange purchases for items such as
clothing, bikes or musical instruments)
- Liaise with the school
including signing documents with the school on behalf of the parents.
- To monitor, in conjunction
with the education providers, the standard of achievement and take steps to
ensure standards do not lapse.
- Provide ongoing support for
their education, particularly in language skill’s
- Attend parent teacher
interviews when requested and send school reports home to the parents
- Have visa regulations and
local laws explained to the students to ensure compliance
- Assist student to make
appointments and use medical services.
- Liaise with the student
concerning any grievances of the student in relation to the student’s homestay
- Assist student’s book
airplane tickets to travel home during holiday’s periods or organize an
excursion all away together.
- Provide twenty-four hour,
seven days a week telephone advice and emergency assistance if required.
- Will ensure to the best of
our ability that visiting students enjoy their stay in Australia.
